Riding lessons are available in one-hour segments. All lessons are private, one on one, unless a clinic format is pre-arranged. Riders must wear a ASTM-approved riding helmet, long pants that allow movement, and boots with a heel.
Lessons revolve around a safe-seat and understanding how to influence how your horse learns. Lesson horses are available as well as clients to trailer-in. During her stay at Wilson College, Cindy received instruction in Dressage and jumping. She has successfully guided horses in western pleasure, hunters, sport horse, and ranch riding.
Regardless of the discipline, rider must have a solid seat, without the assistance of your legs or hands.
Every instruction begins with lunge-line exercises. This warm-up takes about 15 minutes and is integral to developing centered balance with your horse. During the warm-up, riders are given objectives for that lesson and how it fits into their long-term goals.
